Long before learning about Neuschwanstein in Bavaria I was introduced to Sleeping Beauty’s Castle at Walt Disney’s Disneyland in Anaheim, California. It was the first castle I ever visited and the icon that I associate with fairy tales and happily ever afters.

Different parts of Neuschwanstein can be found at all of the Disney castles, a tribute to Walt Disney’s inspiration.

I am a little bit of a Disney fan. I was at Disney World for my 10th birthday, Disneyland Paris for my 20th and Disneyland for my 30th, and Shanghai for my 40th. We got engaged on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland where Walt himself once dreamed of creating magical experiences.

Cheers,
Amy
